Study Visa

General Information

The study visa is intended for people wishing to carry out a stay of more than 90 days for the purpose of studying, training, internship or volunteer service. It is also intended for “au-pair” and language assistants.

The student's spouse and children may apply for a student relative visa to accompany them during their study stay in Spain.

The visa for family member of a student does not allow its holder to work in Spain.

Activities allowing the application of a study visa:

  • Full-time study at an authorized educational institution leading to a degree or educational certificate.
  • PhD studies.
  • Training activities.
  • Student mobility programs in secondary education and/or baccalaureate in an officially recognized teaching or scientific center.
  • Non-labors internships in public or private organizations or entities that cannot be included in internship visas (see Visas under the 14/2013 Law: Visa for Internship).
  • Volunteer services within the framework of programs that pursue objectives of general interest.
  • “Au pair” programs
  • Language assistants.

BLS International Service charge: There is a service charge of VND 508,000 (inclusive of VAT) applicable per application, independently from the visa fee.

  • The fee is non-refundable

Photo Specifications

Note: We regret we cannot accept photographs that do not meet these requirements

Please provide one recent photograph (not more than 3 months old) of yourself, which should not have been used previously in the passport. The photograph should be in colour and:

  • Taken against a light background (white or off-white) so that features are distinguishable and contrast against the background.
  • Clear share quality and with the face in focus.
  • Printed on normal photographic paper (camera print).
  • Full face, non-smiling [without sunglasses, a hat/cap or other head covering, unless the applicant wears such items because of their religious belief or ethnic background]
  • Please stick the Photograph on the Visa Application Form.

Note: Please follow these instructions carefully. If photographs presented do not meet these requirements your application will be considered incomplete. A photo booth meeting these requirements is available at the centre..
